This summer has been full of extended family sessions! I really try and mix it up as much as we can in our 1 hour. The full family is most important so we start with that. Then break it down into individual families, kids together, grandparents and grandkids, couples, etc…

H Family {Blue Lakes}

This was a short session up at Blue Lakes in July. We had good weather, although it was a little windy. When I do short sessions, we don’t walk around. We pretty much stick to one spot, but I get a lot done in that amount of time.

Last friday evening, I had a surprise proposal up at Blue Lakes. I took pictures from up on the road above them. Then we did some “engagement” style pictures.

In the early part of July I met up with another family. This time a family of 4 for a short session. These sessions are 30 minutes and I can get quite a variety of pictures during that time frame. Here is some of what we got.

At the beginning of July I met up with this extended family at Blue Lakes. We had fun taking pictures at the top of the lake and down at the lake.

Before I headed out on vacation I met up with this family of 3 at Blue Lakes. It was a little chilly, but not too windy. A gorgeous fall day. What a wonderful view though!

R Family {Blue Lakes}

For this session, it was a husband and wife. They wanted to capture some memories in Colorado. We decided to head up to Blue Lakes in the afternoon. The weather had been back and froth all day, but we ended up with a nice window for their session.

Last month I met up with this family at Blue Lakes. It was when we were getting lots of monsoon moisture, which was always fun to try and plan around. As soon as we got down to the lake is started to rain. So we trekked back up to our cars to wait it out.
